Red Giants for Space Scenes - Part III Final
A tutorial for PC or Mac using Bryce 4 or Bryce 3.1

Materials Lab for Red Giant Once in the Materials Lab set Diffuse, Ambient and Specular colors to red.
Diffusion should be set at 100, Ambience 71.1, Specularity 15.2 and Transparency 100.

Note: The Ambience & Transparency settings can be a little tricky and may have to be adjusted for the correct amount of glow.
The desired effect depends on other factors in the scene.....such as light sources, the position of the sun and other objects in the scene.

Material Options Finally .....
choose the Material Options and select Fuzzy and Additive.

Voila! You're finished.
Your image should be similar to the one below.

Red Giant Example

Tip: Try adding a radial light behind the Red Giant
with a Brightness setting of about 2 and No Falloff
to brighten up the background.
This example has the light source added.

The image "Red Giant" was based on this tutorial.

Enjoy!
